The World Ends Last Summer is a survival horror game set in a world where dinosaurs have returned to the present day due to a dimensional overlapping incident. The player takes on the role of a high school student who must find a way to survive in this dangerous new world.

Arisara Scarlet, a student and rising star athlete from Solzennheim High School, who has been selected to attend the 2035 School Summer Summit, a national event that brings together the world's leading schools to showcase their work.

However, an unexpected event occurs when the alarm sounds and the sound of a loud explosion is heard. A large tremor occurs, causing most of the area to collapse...

Arisara wakes up from the explosion's impact and finds that the atmosphere around her has changed completely...
